The consortium is a strong partnership of 27 key participants. 15 of those are private companies which include four SMEs, six public organisations, three academic institutes and three research centres.
Each consortium partner has been recruited to perform a dedicated role in the project so that the overall composition of the consortium is well balanced.

In order to accomplish the ambitious objectives of the project and ensure a sufficiently large impact for the European economy, multi-disciplinary expertise in a variety of problem domains is required.

This ranges from expertise on the different technological pillars of the Future Internet technology that contribute to the envisioned domain specific platform instantiations, technology experts in the concrete application domains, domain specific service providers, system integrators as well as economics expertise for the development of a business framework of the envisioned ecosystem.

Therefore, OUTSMART brings together a consortium of the most successful and innovative companies, research and academic institutions, end user centric service providers and business experts from eight European countries: Denmark, France, Germany, Luxemburg, Italy, Serbia, Spain and the United Kingdom.
